The Lovely Bones

The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold Strong start, but fell flat for me from there. It's been awhile since I've read this, and I still remember closing the book and going, "Okay. . . " This was such a heralded book, and with a book like that, if you're book doesn't speak to the human condition in some magnificent way, then I probably won't be impressed. As much as I think books that explore the topics in this book NEED to be written, I don't think this is the one to do it.
